Product description

This wax tablet, based on archaeological excavations, features wooden panels with a red seal and imprints of Roman signet rings. You can close the inside by tying the wax tablet. In ancient times, wax tablets and the corresponding writing instrument, the stylus, were considered standard business equipment! The wax tablets were optimal writing surfaces for simple notes or school exercises in ancient times. The intricate history of the Roman Empire would likely have faded into obscurity if not for wax tablets preserved to this day, bearing witness to their culture. The use of wax tablets dates back to the 5th century BC. Many of the finds, like this wax tablet, were adorned with seals, allowing only the intended recipient to read the message on the wax tablet.
