This helmet is made after a piece found in the tomb of the family Rieter von Kornburg und Kalbensteinberg from Nürenberg.The original was probably made in this city. It`s nowadays part of the collection of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum of Nürenberg.

The helmet is made of 1,6 mm steel. It has a chain mail avantail. The helmet is suitable for a head circomference of ca. 62 cm. It`s 22,5 cm high and 19 cm wide. It weighs 3,55 kg.
