This type of sword was used by the Vikings around the 10th-11th century. The model (Oakeshott type X) is originally a Frankish type of sword that remained popular until far in the 13th century. This sword was used by the late Vikings during the Norman conquests of England and during the first crusades. This sword is semi-sharp and has a blade made of EN45 spring steel. It is tempered and has a hardness of approx. 48 HRC.
