The balteus is a Roman belt worn by legionaries in the Roman army. The belt held up the trousers, but with its beautiful decorations it was also a sign of military achievement and high rank. This balteus was found without an apron, so the replica is delivered without an apron. A unique element of this balteus are the brass fittings, decorated with red enamel. This replica has an authentic 1st century Roman buckle and pugio holder. The balteus is made of strong 3 mm thick leather and has a suede lining to protect your tunic. Perfect for Roman Reenactment, Living History, LARP and Cosplay.
