This knife blade is a replica of a 9th-10th century original found in Haithabu. This type of knife was mainly produced by the Anglo-Saxons around this period, but traded worldwide. This handmade knife blade is made of 1085 carbon steel and tempered to a hardness of 54 – 56 HRC.
