People wore jackchains especially during the 15th century. In particular, soldiers of the infantry who were not equipped with plate armor and who instead wore a gambeson, acketon or other form of padded arming jackets. In combination with a gambeson, jackchains were a cheap way to protect the arms against stabbing. Jackchains also do not impede the freedom of movement of the wearer. You can fasten these jackchains to your gambeson with laces with aglets, these are sold separately in our webshop in several colors. These jackchains are delivered per pair. This armor is 1 mm thick and suitable for LARP battles, theater, Cosplay and costumes.

Maintenance & care
Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your armour regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper.
Tip: How to adjust the finish of your armour and weaponry
Luxurious (polished)- polish the steel with metal polish or toothpaste. You can even give the item a mirror-like polish. Test on a small surface first!
Handmade (matte)- soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check regularly and treat with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) leave the steel to rust for some time in a damp environment, preferably outside. Remove the red layer of rust, to reveal the corroded top layer.
