This bust is a replica of a classical original from the 1st century BC. The original is nowadays part of the collection of the archaeological museum in Napels.

Homerus was a Greek poet and singer and he presumably lived from 800 BC to 750 BC. He wrote epic poems, in which he describes a large number of heroic sagas, stories about gods and mythical narratives

This bust is made of plaster alabaster with an antique patina layer. It measures approx. 23 cm. It is provided with a marble pedestal.
