Product description
This leather armor draws directly from remnants and depictions of the Greek Linothorax. Greek and Macedonian warriors — along with surrounding peoples — wore the Linothorax as a lighter, more affordable alternative to a breastplate, and it saw widespread use across the ancient world. This Linothorax takes its inspiration from the battle-worn armor of Greek Hoplites from Athens and Sparta, who clashed with the Persians and fought each other during the Peloponnesian War. Later, Alexander the Great's famous phalanx soldiers wore it too, as did many of his elite companions in the shock cavalry. That deep connection to ancient history makes it a must-have for any personal collection.
