Historical crafts, living history, reenactment & museum education materials

We have a large collection of raw materials and craft materials for living history, reenactment, and museums. During a reenactment and living history event or a demonstration in a museum, you can showcase historical crafts to visitors all day long. It's beneficial to have good materials to work with and to find a craft you enjoy so you can inspire others about history. Here you will find everything for leatherworking, historical painting with tempera and oil paint, historical writing, woodworking, making clothing, making arrows, making a knife, making fire, and much more.

Medieval scriptorium and painting like Rembrandt: making historical oil paint, making tempera, writing on parchment & papyrus with homemade ink

In our store, you will find everything for a medieval scriptorium and to create medieval artworks like a monk. Make your own historical oil paint by mixing our historical pigments with linseed oil and paint in the style of Rembrandt. Or make medieval tempera paint as in the illuminated manuscripts. You do this by mixing the egg yolk of an egg with pigments. You can also find everything here to make your own ink, and real papyrus and parchment to write on. Great for medieval reenactment & living history, and for demonstrations in a museum.

Leatherworking and sewing materials: making belt, making bag, making scabbard, naaldbinding, making clothing

We have a wide selection of leather belt straps, bag fittings, buckles, belt fitting, historical needles, linen yarn, weaving cards, and scabbard fittings. With these, you can make a Roman, Viking, or medieval belt, make Viking and medieval bags, decorate a scabbard, weave, and make a historical garment. Plenty of beautiful things for a whole weekend of reenactment! And also great for home and as a gift.
