Product description
Thigh armor like this was hugely popular in the German regions during the late 15th century and worn throughout Europe. The style draws from the late Gothic period, with ribbed reliefs similar to those found in Late Gothic churches. Made from 1.6 mm thick steel, these cuisses feature adjustable leather straps at the back and finely crafted buckles in the high Gothic style. Forged fleurs-de-lys and streamlined ribs decorate the front, running across the thighs and ending just below the knee caps (poleyns).
