Laces like these were used throughout the Middle Ages — particularly the Late Middle Ages and the Renaissance — for all kinds of purposes. Use them to attach plate armor parts or chainmail to the gambeson or acketon. Their strength kept plate armor firmly in place during battle.
These laces also served for clothing and shoes. Attach chausses to braies, or use them to fasten pieces of women's clothing.
The aiglets — the metal tips at each end — are made from brass and are exact replicas of medieval originals. Laces are sold in a set of 6.
