This LARP hand-and-a-half sword is based on originals used around the 15th century. Hans Talhoffer depicts swords like this in his combat books. Made from foam with a fiberglass core, the sword features an additional layer of Kevlar over that core. It comes with either a silver or gold colored pommel and cross-guard.
Danish LARP weapons manufacturer Palnatoke builds each weapon with a robust fiberglass core and an extra-reinforced tip. Medium-hard foam padding surrounds the core for reliable protection. Before assembly, workers generously coat the cross guard with rubber — a step that considerably boosts durability. The complete sword then goes through a ten-step coating process, layering it with hard-wearing rubber. Finally, leather wrapping on the handle finishes one of the toughest LARP weapons in the world. Maintain your foam weapon regularly with silicone spray — at minimum after every use.
