Product description
These arm guards are based on the Avant armor, dating from 1450 AD. Typically Milanese in style, small additional plates protect the elbows and shield parts of the chest.
Complete suits of armor began appearing in Northern Italy in the early 15th century — a style known as Milanese armor. Knights wore it across Europe, not limited to any single region. Large, rounded, unadorned plates define the Milanese look. Helmets typically included the sallet, armet, and barbute, and knights wore a full chainmail hauberk underneath the suit. While Milanese armor was often worn as a complete suit, knights sometimes wore only individual pieces.
Made from 1.6 mm steel, these arm pieces adjust to fit with straps.
