This necklace is made after the famous ‘Ödeshög Thor’s hammer’. The ‘Ödeshög Thor’s hammer’ stands out due to its decorative appearance, unlike other ‘viking thor’s hammers’ which often have a simple design. The design of this ‘Mjölnir of Ödeshög’ is very similar to the historical original, except the original one is provided with applied granules, and the replica is casted in a single piece. The ‘Mjölnir’ was the magical hammer of the Norse god Thor. He used his hammer to fight against the enemies of the gods. In the 9th and 10th centuries old believers wore the Mjölnir to differentiate themselves from the Christians.
