Product description
A doublet is a tight, fitted jacket. Until the end of the 15th century it was almost always worn concealed under a cloak, robe or houppelande. It was not until the 16th century that the doublet became visible - often combined with a matching doublet - and that women started wearing it for the first time.
This doublet is based on a 16th century model and is from green cotton. The doublet has a simple cut and is provided with a lace at the front, with which you can adjust the fit around the waist.
