This comb in solid jewelery bronze is based on combs from the Germanic migration period. Combs like these were often worn together with scale fibulae and served as both a hair care item and a beard comb.

Body care had a ritual meaning during this period: cleanliness stood for cosmic order, and a well-groomed appearance was part of the daily lives of both men and women.

The comb is solid and carefully finished from fine jewelery bronze, approx. 6 x 4.5 cm. Wearable on a leather cord (sold separately) or as a decorative object in a historic encampment.
