Product description
This ax blade is characterized as a Petersen type M, better known as the "Dane ax" - one of the most recognizable Viking axes. The blade has a broad, thinly forged, wedge-shaped and expanded cutting edge, often with yoke-like projections on either side of the eye. Despite the large surface area, the head is relatively light due to its thinness steel. This type appeared in larger numbers from around 950.
This Viking ax is made from steel with an antique finish, battle-ready finish.
