This Early Medieval dress is based on images from Early Medieval manuscripts and on clothing remains discovered from the Viking Age. The contrasting colours at the neckline and sleeves are historically justified: ordinary Vikings often wore brown and green, made from cheap pigments, while wealthier Vikings distinguished themselves with colours such as blue and red.
The dress is made from cotton and has a long, flowing fit with long sleeves. A V-neckline that extends to the shoulders is finished with fine cross-stitch embroidery, which also appears on the sleeves and hem. Washing instructions: gentle wash at 30°C.
This dress is ideal for Viking re-enactment, LARP and cosplay, and pairs beautifully with a cloak, belt, pouch or other Viking accessory.
