Product description

This colorful and visually appealing shield is made from approximately 13mm thick plywood, covered with linen and richly decorated with hand-painted Celtic crosses with knot motifs. An umbo is mounted in the center of the shield, securely attached with four rivets. The back of the shield is painted black and has a sturdy wooden handle. Although this wooden shield is a bit too light and thin for full contact sword fighting, it remains a great accessory for reenactment, LARP, stage or television/film. Moreover, it is also a beautiful collection or exhibition piece and a decorative object for all lovers of history and the Celts.
