Product description
The 12th century introduced the French influence with the bliaut: lacing on the sides accentuated the waist, and extremely long trumpet sleeves turned this garment into a real showpiece. The impractical sleeves showed that the wearer did not have to do any physical labor.
The dress is made of cotton. Side panels (gores) in skirt and side seams give the dress a generous width, and the trumpet sleeves with decorative stitching around the open side seams give the whole a neat finish.
This one dress was originally a court dress, worn by both ladies as (in a knee height variant) gentlemen at the medieval court.
