This pendant shows a bearded face with horns ending in raven heads, with red eyes. The design is modeled on an Anglo-Saxon find from Kingsworthy in Hampshire (England), dating from the early 7th century.

A whole series of similar Anglo-Saxon pendants with a bearded, horned face are known from the early Middle Ages, which are associated with the Woden cult. Woden is the most important Anglo-Saxon god, corresponding to the North Germanic Wodan/Odin. The horned head motif also appears on the helmet of Sutton Hoo and the gold buckle of Finglesham, among others; the raven heads at the ends of the horns are seen as Hugin and Munin, the two ravens of the god.
