This loose sleeve brings the extravagant look of sixteenth-century Landsknecht fashion to any historical or fantasy outfit. Layered, cut panels cascade like a waterfall over the arm, with edge that each time reveal a contrasting lining — an effect that suggests movement, even when you stand still.

The Landsknechts were known for their fur, brightly coloured clothing, an expression of their exemption from the clothing laws that applied to most people at their time. Bright colour, asymmetrical cuts and striking edge on every garment, from hat to boot, were their trademark. This version in red-white fits perfectly in that tradition.

Made from brushed wool with a soft cotton lining, the sleeve is attached with brass eyelets on laces to the eyelets of the matching gambeson.
