Product description
This detachable sleeve brings structured elegance to an early sixteenth-century Landsknecht outfit. While another sleeve from the same line appears layered and flowing, this design is precise and decorative: the puffed upper sleeve features deep vertical edges, while the under-sleeve displays a repeating petal motif that forms an elegant lattice from elbow to wrist.
Landsknechts were known for their colorful, provocative fur clothing, a direct result of their exemption from the clothing laws of the time. Bright color combinations, asymmetrical edges and striking puffed sleeves were their trademark, and this red-white version continues that tradition.
Made from brushed wool with a soft cotton lining, the sleeve is attached via brass-tipped lace cords to the eyelets of the matching gambeson. The sleeve is sold separately: combine two pieces for a symmetrical look, or mix it with the other sleeve from the same line for an asymmetrical, personal style. Available in size S through 2XL.
