LARP Norman shield wolf

This LARP shield is based on historical Norman shields. They were originally made for cavalrymen but were also popular among ordinary foot soldiers because they could use it to protect their forelegs. They used shields like this during the conquest of England. The shield is beautifully and lifelike painted, so that it looks like it is made of vertical wooden planks that are painted white, through which you can see the grain of the wood. It is decorated with a howling wolf. The shield has three pairs of straps at the back so you can hold it on both arms and in different ways.
