This doublet is inspired by the close-fitting jackets that were worn as a middle layer, under a tabard, until the end of the 15th century. cloak or houppelande. From the 16th century onwards, the doublet also came into use among women and was often covered by a doublet.

The body is made of 100% cotton canvas, with a chrome-tanned leather shoulder that gives the jacket a layered, functional look. Decorative hand stitches on the front and back add visual depth, while the front closure consists of three leather cords attached to stitched leather tabs. At the bottom the jerkin falls into a slightly pleated shape skirt, for freedom of movement without excess bulk. Colour: black.
