The tricorne is a triangular hat that came into fashion in Europe during the 18th century and disappeared again at the beginning of the 19th century. In the 18th century itself, this type of hat was commonly called a "cocked hat"; the name tricorne only came into use in the mid-19th century. The hat was worn by both the aristocracy and commoners, and was part of military and naval uniforms.

This tricorne is made from leather with a pewter accent, in the colour black. It leather is delivered lightly greased; with extra leather fat the colour darker.

Suitable for re-enactment, cosplay, theater and film productions and festival visits, as a costume part during events.
