Product description
The basket hilted broadsword was mainly used by the Scots. They are sometimes also called basket hilted claymores, because the blade was often made from a broken claymore blade. The grip was surrounded by a large basket, which not only protected the hand but also provided better balance. This broadsword has a Glasgow type basket lined with red textile. The wooden grip is wrapped with leather and steel wire.
