Blunt weapons were developed in the Middle Ages in response to the increasingly better armor worn by cavalry and for close combat. Blunt weapons were an elite weapon: used by mounted knights against other cavalrymen. These weapons were equipped with vicious points and heavy steel heads to inflict damage on the armour. War hammer and war hammer

A war hammer, war hammer or war hammer is modeled after a regular hammer. It has a longer shaft and longer head for close combat during battles. They are primarily intended to damage the opponent's armor and inflict harm. Our replica war hammers are based on Renaissance paintings, such as those by the Italian Uccello, and historical originals. War hammers were often beautifully decorated because they were owned by wealthy knights.

Goedendag, morning star and flail

The goedendag, morning star, and flail originated in the High Middle Ages. The flail is a medieval weapon consisting of a shaft, a chain with a metal ball with points attached. In the case of the morning star, there is also a metal ball with points, but it is fixed on the shaft. The goedendag resembled a spear, consisting of a long shaft with a point that could be thrust into armor. These three weapons were suitable for creating damage in armor but were also popular during sieges and very harmful in close combat. Especially the morning star was quite easy to make if one crafted the shaft and head from wood and drove nails into it. This was also a suitable weapon for civilians and priests to defend themselves.
