This arm harness is made in the style of the famous mid-14th century armour from Churburg Castle in northern Italy. It covers the forearms, elbows and upper arms. The Churburg armour is representative of the plate armour style of northern Italy in the mid to late 14th century. It was not a complete plate design like the styles from the 15th century, but the armour pieces were designed to be worn over a full mail hauberk and provide extra protection for the chest and arms. The arm harness has a steel thickness of 1.6 mm, making it suitable for re-enactment combat.
