Product description
The chaperon is a hooded headwear commonly worn during the Middle Ages. The cap reached to the shoulders, fully covering the wearer's head and neck while leaving only the face exposed. At the back, the chaperon tapered into a long point known as a liripipe. In the early Middle Ages, it was mostly worn by poor people. From the 14th century on, wealthier people began wearing chaperons too, made from more luxurious fabric.
Made from thick wool, this chaperon covers most of the shoulders. The hood ends in a long point. It fits all sizes.
