Product description
The chaperon is a hooded headwear commonly worn during the Middle Ages. Reaching down to the shoulders, it fully covered the wearer's head and neck, leaving only the face exposed. A long point called a liripipe extended from the back of the hood. Early in the Middle Ages, chaperons were worn mainly by poor people. By the 14th century, wealthier people adopted the style too, choosing versions made from more luxurious fabric.
This chaperon is made from thick wool and covers most of the shoulders. The hood tapers to a long point at the end. It fits all sizes.
