This turtle brooch is a replica of a 10th-century original excavated in Morberg, Norway. Made in the Jellinge style, a Viking art style used across the Viking world, it carries a rich decorative heritage. Viking women wore turtle brooches in pairs on the hangeroc. Jewelry like beads and silver pieces was often worn between them.
