During the early Middle Ages, various peoples across Europe used it — including the Merovingians, Vikings, and Germanic peoples. Archaeologists have excavated textile fragments of herringbone motif fabric at Viking sites such as Jorvik, Hedeby, Birka, and Oseberg. Made entirely from a herringbone pattern fabric, these trousers offer a highly historically accurate look. A great asset for early medieval re-enactors.

Viking pants like these were worn from around the seventh to the eleventh centuries. This model features short legs. Wear leg wrappings below the knees, as shown in the photo.
