The herringbone pattern is a historical weaving method used throughout early medieval Europe and still seen today. Archaeological finds show that Vikings wore fabrics using this weaving method. Textile fragments with a herringbone motif have been excavated in the historical Viking towns of Hedeby, Birka, Jorvik (Coppergate and Lloyds Bank) and in London. The herringbone design gives these pants a highly historically accurate look and is a great asset for Viking re-enactors.

These trousers are made after the historic Rusvik model and feature short legs. Emphasize the silhouette even further by wearing leg wrappings, as shown in the photo. Choose a contrasting color of leg wrapping to customize the trousers to your own taste.
