Product description
This throwing axe is modeled after various 9th and 10th century Scandinavian examples. The blade type is classified as a Petersen type L — identical to Type K. Originally developed for woodworking, this axe style was in use from about 940 to 1200 AD.
It features a rosewood shaft. The axe measures 33 cm long with a 10 cm blade and weighs about 0.3 kg.
The axe head is solidly forged. However, we cannot guarantee the quality of the shaft. If you plan to use this axe for axe throwing, we recommend replacing it with an ash shaft — available at most well-stocked hardware stores or DIY stores.
