Product description
New from Red Dragon — known for their high-quality HEMA plastic training swords — this line of high-level historical sword replicas comes complete with a leather scabbard. Each sword is made from high-quality steel with excellent hardness.
Based on original Viking swords, this sword features a Petersen Type H grip — the most prominent grip type found on Viking swords, spanning the late 8th century to the late 10th century.
The scabbard is wooden, wrapped in brown leather, and paired with a matching brown leather grip. The edge measures 1.75 mm thick. The blade is tempered and made from EN42J spring steel, with a core hardness of 45 HRC and an edge hardness of 50 HRC. That combination of two hardnesses keeps the sword flexible and less brittle than comparable models. The result is a sword that brings together excellent craftsmanship and years of HEMA experience.
