Product description
New from Red Dragon — known for their high-quality HEMA synthetic training swords — this line of high-level historical replica swords comes with a leather scabbard. Each sword is made from high-quality steel with excellent hardness.
Based on originals from the Viking Age, these swords were used throughout Northern Europe around the 10th century. The sword features a five-lobed pommel, more common than the seven-lobed variety. The Petersen Type S pommel is dominated by a large central lobe flanked by several smaller lobes.
The wooden scabbard is wrapped in brown leather, matching the brown leather grip. The edge measures 1.5mm thick. The blade is tempered and made from EN42J spring steel, with a core hardness of 45 HRC and an edge hardness of 50 HRC. Those two different hardness levels make the sword flexible and less brittle than comparable models. This sword combines excellent craftsmanship with years of HEMA experience.
