Bronze studs were a common feature in the ornate belts of the Rus and Magyars, introduced to the Vikings through the extensive trade routes connecting Scandinavia. Belt fittings like these are frequently found in Viking Age graves.

This Viking belt stud measures 1.5 x 1.4 cm and is made from high-quality bronze.

The stud has two pins on the back for fastening. To attach it, insert the pins through corresponding holes in the leather. Use pliers to bend the pin tips slightly inward, then tap them flat with a hammer to secure the stud firmly against the belt.
