Product description
This Viking ring is a replica of a 10th-century original found in Boyton, England. Similar rings were worn throughout the Viking world. Available in sizes S, M, and L.
In Germanic mythology, rings held sacred meaning. They symbolized an oath-bound connection between the wearer and their ruler, tribe, or a deity. Torques and arm rings were worn not only by the Germanic peoples, but also by the Scythians, Celts, and other Indo-European cultures. Indo-European society was deeply rooted in oaths, built on the concept of cosmic order. Gods guarded this order, while a class structure supported it — one in which oaths and symbolic jewelry such as torques affirmed social relationships and status.
