This tooth pendant features an intricate Viking motif in the Mammen style, popular during the 10th-century Viking Age. The design draws inspiration from the fierce Fenris wolf of Norse mythology. A flat metal piece caps the top, with a small eyelet and ring for attaching a chain or leather strap.

Fenrir, the wolf son of the god Loki, ranks among the most dangerous beings in Norse mythology. At Ragnarök, he is destined to devour Odin, the Allfather, before Odin's son Vidar slays him in a final battle. The pendant measures 6 x 1.7 cm, with an inner ring diameter of 1.5 cm.

The Mammen style takes its name from a famous axe found in a grave in Jutland, Denmark. It was widely used from the mid-10th to the early 11th century, primarily to decorate impressive and functional objects.
