This beautiful Viking dress is based on excavations of original textile remains from the early Middle Ages. Wear it on its own or layer it over another dress in colder weather. The dress features a stunning contrast of two colors — a pairing that was common during the early Middle Ages. Gussets are triangular pieces of fabric sewn into the skirt. They shape the garment to the body, add width to the skirt, and allow for greater freedom of movement. Gussets were used in almost every early medieval dress. Great for re-enactment, historic LARP, and Cosplay of series like Vikings or Last Kingdom.
