Product description
The Viking Bijl is based on various 8th–10th century ax designs used by the Vikings. The shaft runs halfway, but you can remove it yourself and turn this ax into a Dane Axe. The ax is Battle-ready, features rounded points, and is approximately 3 mm thick. The high-quality steel makes this Viking ax multi-functional — a great ax for Viking Reenactment.

Oil your weapons regularly to prevent rust and corrosion. Use black sandpaper to remove rust easily. Remove burrs with a whetstone, and always clear burrs before using your Battle-ready weapon — burrs can cause wounds.
Tip: how to adjust the finish on your weapons
Luxury (polished) – Polish the steel with a metal polishing agent or toothpaste to get an even shine. Test on a small area first!
Handmade (matte) – Soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check the matte finish regularly, then even it out with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) – Place the steel in a damp environment (preferably outside) and let it rust. Brush away the red rust layer — the corroded top layer stays.
NB. Once you finish the product yourself, the guarantee and return right no longer apply. Celtic Webmerchant is not liable for the results of the methods described above.
