Product description
Designed by Hanwei, this luxury bastard sword is based on the 16th-century one-and-a-half-hand sword used across Central Europe. Swiss mercenary soldiers — renowned throughout Europe for their outstanding service — carried swords just like this one.
The sword comes sharp and features a patina finish that gives it an antique look.
It measures 127.3 cm overall, with a 98.4 cm blade, and weighs 1,162 grams. The balance point sits 14 cm below the guard. A scabbard is included.

Tip: how to customize your weapon's finish
Luxury (polished) – Polish the steel with a metal polish or toothpaste. You can use this to bring out a high shine. Test on a small area first!
Handmade (matte) – Soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check the matte finish regularly. Even it out with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) – Leave the steel in a damp environment (preferably outside) and let it rust. Brush away the red rust layer — the corroded surface underneath remains.
Note: Once you modify the product yourself, the guarantee and right of return no longer apply. Celtic Webmerchant is not liable for the results of any of the methods described above.
