Product description
At the beginning of the 14th century, great helmets became more conical in shape. This design helped deflect blows and lance thrusts away from the head, reducing direct impact. This type of helmet is also known as the "sugar loaf" for its distinctive shape. In Spanish, it goes by the Helmet of Zaragoza — it was first introduced on the Iberian Peninsula. Helmets like this remained in use across Europe until the end of the 14th century.
This helmet includes a liner and chin strap. If you want to wear extra padded cushioning, measure your head circumference while wearing it. The padded lining already inside the helmet is usually sufficient. Remove the liner to create more space inside.
