Product description
This type of Roman pilum was used between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD, including during the Gallic Wars. When the pilum struck a target, the spearhead bent so the spear could not be thrown back.
Made from wood and 9260 carbon steel, this pilum features a heavier shaft than its predecessors. The spearhead is easy to dismantle and replace. The throwing spear measures 224 cm in length and weighs about 1.9 kg.
This item cannot be shipped to countries outside the EU due to its length.
