Product description
The design of this gugel was inspired by the discovery of a bog body, still clothed and wrapped in a woolen blanket, at Skjoldehamn farm in Andøya, Norway. The exact age remains uncertain, but recent surveys point to the 11th century. The sex of the individual has not been conclusively determined, though researchers currently believe it to be female. Viking hoods were essential clothing during Norse expeditions and voyages of discovery. Made from durable wool, the gugel provided protection against the harsh Nordic elements. Wear it to festivals, LARP events, or reenactments — it's especially great for keeping warm on cold, wet days.
