Product description
This sword is a replica of the 13th century original owned by the well-known English knight Sir William Marshall. Sir William Marshall is buried in Temple Church in London, but his sword is part of the collection of the British Museum.
Carefully handmade with attention to every small detail, this sword features a double-edged damascus steel blade. It is classified as an Oakeshott type XII under the Oakeshott sword typification — a modern design for its era, with a sharper tip than its predecessors (Oakeshott types X and XI). That sharpened point let the sword pierce through hauberks far more easily.
The sword is 101.6 cm long with an 84.5 cm blade and a 17.5 cm grip. It weighs about 926 grams and has an excellent point of balance.
A scabbard is included.
