This handmade seax blade is modeled after originals used by the Anglo-Saxons between the 9th and 11th centuries. Skrama seaxes were widely used by Germanic tribes and Vikings alike. This model is based on an original found in the Viking city of Jorvik. Made from 256 layers of AISI 4340 and 15N20 steel, it is tempered to a hardness of 56–58 HRC.
