Product description
Scale armor like this saw use from classical antiquity through the 15th century. Germanic horsemen serving as Roman auxiliae wore it, as did the Byzantine cataphracts — heavy Byzantine cavalrymen. Archaeologists have also found scale armor in the Viking city of Birka and on Gotland.
