Product description
Braies were the underpants of the medieval period. Men wore them under their trousers or under their hose. Over the centuries, underpants became more elaborate, but originally they reached to the knees or even to the ground. You can spot braies in various medieval manuscripts and on statues, such as the sculptures at Reims Cathedral.
These braies feature a drawstring at the waist so you can adjust the fit to your size. Made from linen, they are very comfortable and include aiglets for attaching chausses.
